Last night you went to sleep. But now, you're on Black Beach.
Everywhere, endless fields of sand cover this landscape, one you can't see. There is no light, nothing to distinguish eyes closed or open, and yet somehow, you know there's a grave on the floor, intended for you.
A voice speaks: it tells you to enter your grave once it's time. Coming from everywhere, it says to wait until your body is agonizing in pain before proceeding. This is supposed to give you a special ability.
The pain starts. Bursts of a deep pain, devoid of sound or sight, distant as if your body is somewhere else. You want to scream, but you feel so far away.
Suddenly, the thing hurting you vanishes, along with the pain. Maybe accidentaly or blind stupidity, you end up falling in the hole you weren't supposed to go before. Somehow, you know that voice didn't like that.
You briefly wake up, only to begin drifting to the dreamscape again. While drifting, a spark of knowledge somehow enters your mind, a realization: if you remained in that place, that 'thing' would take hold of your soul, and it was not the first time it did this to someone.
Visions of other victims come to you in abstract, distorted ways.
You see a woman in a school, but it ends abruptly.
You are now someone else, somewhere else, running away from this entity with three other friends. It appears to be your house in the waking world, and there is a party taking place, which helped you in leaving unnoticed.
This world seems familiar, but only in appearance. You are now sprinting through the city, desperately running from that entity. There is no comfort here, no real sensations, a painful silence everywhere, it all seems dead.
Somewhere along the line, you wake up.
